At the CES 2023, Lenovo gave us a glimpse of its upcoming portfolio. The company scored with a wide range, from tablets to powerful gaming notebooks. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon was also part of the show. It wants to combine a low weight of just 970 grams with a surprisingly high performance.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon comes with (partly) new hardware
Lenovo’s slim notebook once again lives up to its nickname Slim. The Chinese consumer electronics company once again relies on an extremely slim and, at 970 grams, very light case for the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon. Visually, there are hardly any differences due to the identical design language. Lenovo again relies on a 14.8 mm thin chassis, which is partly made of carbon. Nothing has changed in the display either. Since the screen of the predecessor was already first-rate, this will hardly be a problem.
Thus, we also find a 13.3-inch display with IPS technology here. This offers a refresh rate of 90 Hz and resolves with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. A maximum brightness of 400 nits promises a good overview even in bright light conditions. Those who have extra wishes in addition to the basic configuration can also have the display equipped with another feature. For example, Lenovo charges extra for the touchscreen. More exciting is the installed processor. Lenovo has finally upgraded it considerably.
Thanks to the upgrade to Intel’s Raptor Lake-P series, you can presumably look forward to significantly more computing power. Besides the Intel Core i5-1340P in the base version, an Intel Core i7-1360P is also available for a surcharge. The CPU is supported by up to 16 GB of RAM. In terms of storage space, you can choose between 512 GB or 1 TB of fast flash storage (PCIe 4.0) in Lenovo’s Yoga Slim 7i Carbon. A 50 Wh battery is supposed to ensure that the notebook can last for about 10 hours. This is in line with the values of the predecessor.

Pricing and Availability
When it comes to ports and connectivity, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon also seems to offer everything you need for the modern workday. Thus, the notebook comes with 2x USB-C (1x Thunderbolt 4), Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi 6E. Those who are interested in the ultra-light notebook should be able to buy it in April 2023. According to Lenovo, the RRP starts at 1,299 Euros.
