This is a brand new 2020 version of our remote controlled motorized Directional High Gain Outdoor LAVA HD-2605 Antenna.Our HD-2605 is rated for a range of up to 150 Miles, However some customers have reported getting reception a bit further in some locations.This model Receives UHF/VHF/FM/HDTV and 4K HDTV signals & it is NextGenTV Ready as the FCC upgrades their signals.The antenna comes with a built-in rotor (motor), which can turn a full 360 degrees using the infrared remote control included in the package. The optional LAVA HDS12 4-Way splitter is the only splitter designed to be installed between the antenna and the control box! You can install the LAVA Splitter on the outside of your house while the G3 Control Box is connected inside by your TV. Connecting More Than One Television
There are 2 ways you can setup your HD-2605 for use with multiple TVs depending on how much coax cable you need and if you have the LAVA Splitter.
You can only use a maximum of 50 ft of RG6 coax cable from the Antenna to the Control Box and up to 50 ft of coax from the control box to each TV as needed if you connect your splitter directly after the control box. If you have the LAVA HDS12 Splitter, you can put it between the antenna and control box as shown above using a total of 50 ft or less of RG6 coax cable from the antenna, through the splitter, to the control box.
Run The Auto-Scan or Auto-Program in your TV menu FIRST thing after install
What do I do when I see a “NO SIGNAL” message on one or more channels? Go over the setup instructions again. Make sure the antenna is powering on, it is pointed in the right direction, and you run the Channel Search on your TV in the menu after you install and connect the antenna. If you are unsure how to run the scan, refer to your TV instruction manual.
2020 UPDATE: The FCC and TV stations are in the midst of a “channel re-pack” where they are shifting the frequencies of many TV stations.
The re-pack is scheduled to continue through mid-2020.
When you check the reception in your area using a website like FCC | OTADTV | TVFOOL , You will get a map along with a list of available channels, their signal strength, and their direction

Each LAVA Antenna is designed specifically for different situations and locations. The LAVA Antenna that works great at your parents house may not be the best model for your location. You can check the strength of the TV signals in your area on the fcc gov website.
Enter your address and zip code then it will show you a chart with all the local stations you can pickup along with the tower distance, a map, and most important, signal strength!
The LAVA Omni-Pro HD-8008 / HD-8000 can pickup strong and moderate signals best without having to rotate the antenna. It has a hard time with very weak signals due to it being omni-directional. The LAVA HD-2605/HD-2805 are better at picking up weaker signals than the Omni-Pro Style, they only need to be rotated and pointed in the right direction. Perfect for low signal reception areas. Our LAVA Indoor Antennas all can only pickup strong and some moderate signals since the Antenna is inside. They also have a max range between 20-75 Miles Depending on the model. Our HD-468 is best. The lava HD-250 is great if you live close to the broadcast towers as you can have signal strength too strong. It’s best where an indoor antenna is not enough but the HD-8008 is too strong. Some other factors like hills, mountains, metal buildings, big forests, and some cell towers can weaken your reception with some channels
