I’ve had a NordicTrack Commercial 1750 in my own home since 2022 without a problem to report. As far as I can tell, this treadmill could last another 10 years so long as I take care of it. As I read online comments and reviews about this model, it occurs to me the biggest problem people face is a lack of maintenance. If you’ve just spent $1,999 on a treadmill with a lifetime warranty on the frame and motor, there’s no reason to let it go to waste due to ignoring simple steps.

Things You Can Do To Maintain Your NordicTrack Commercial 1750
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, as the old saying goes. I might rephrase that to say, a squirt of silicone treadmill lubricant is worth more than a new belt. Below are some quick tips for maintenance and links to explanatory pieces with step-by-step instructions. I’ll be frank though, most of this is common sense and falls into the category of common sense. But in fairness to new treadmill owners, most just never think about it until it becomes an issue.
- Keep the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 clean: This is critical if you have the treadmill in a garage or room prone to static electricity. It’s a simple habit to begin, just wipe down the unit after using the same as you would in a gym. You’d be surprised at the amount of dust and dirt that can accumulate on the belt, as well underneath the machine. The great thing about this being a folding treadmill is it’s easy to lift up and sweep. That dust can get sucked into the motor carriage and cause problems if you don’t. - Lubricate the deck: If you never lubricate the belt, eventually something will break down. As a general rule of thumb, you should figure on lubricating it every 40 hours of use, or three months, depending on which comes first. Use a silicone-based lube, but never a petroleum-based substance like WD-40. That will eat your belt faster than marathoner runner with a protein bar. You can read upon lubrication more here.
- Vacuum around the motor: Again, since the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 folds, this is easy. Just lift the deck up until it locks and then either vacuum or mop underneath. If you haven’t done this yet, you can always unscrew the motor hood at the front of the deck and vacuum out the motor area. Dusty motors will eventually fail.

There’s a reason I don’t see many used NordicTrack Commercial 1750s on the market. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the “Official iFit Member Community” on Facebook. It’s a private group for people who have any brand of iFit equipment and use the app. I’m a member myself and find they’re very responsive to comments and questions, maybe even more so than the traditional customer service route. Also, there’s also about 86,000 members so whatever problem you’re having is bound to have been fixed for someone else.
